Jesus said salvation does not come until one has “endured to the end” in Matthew 10:22.
Our faith MUST be tested to be granted eternal life. It is not a matter of saying some words such as “I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior” or performing a ritual such as water baptism, which is not Jesus’ baptism but the baptism of John the Baptizer. Jesus’ baptism is a greater baptism with the Holy Spirit and fire. (Matthew 3:17)
The Bible mentions salvation in the past tense, present tense, and future tense.
No one today “is” or “are” saved.
If one “endures to the end” they WILL BE saved. That is what “Jesus” teaches. Christianity teaches something different.
God “saved” ancient Israel out of Egypt and also from Pharaoh’s armies. But when Moses went up to receive God’s law, many of the people felt Moses was delaying too long or might have died so they lost faith and stopped believing and they lost their lives. So, the many who “were saved” lost their faith, stopped believing and died. So, one can lose their salvation.
To teach and believe the “Saved Always Saved” narrative puts the masses to sleep. Giving them a false confidence that their salvation is assured. No test of faith is required. Thus, because of that, many will be caught off guard when the Great Tribulation comes. They will be confused. Saying, “I thought I was saved?” Not until their faith has been tested.
Our salvation must be worked out by us with “salvation with fear and trembling” (that we have it and don’t lose it). Not with “worked out” with confidence that we have it. (Phil 2:12)
