When you hear the expression “baptism,” what do you associate it with?
Most will associate “baptism” with water.
However, there is a baptism – a greater baptism – many do not talk about, the baptism of Holy Spirit and fire which is Jesus’ baptism.
The Apostle Paul in Ephesians 4:4-6 writes:
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
One baptism.
Yet, most believe in water baptism and almost no one believes in the greater baptism of Jesus with Holy Spirit and fire.
You see, this makes two baptisms! Water and Holy Spirit and fire.
John the Baptizer mentions in Matthew 3:11:
I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
So, John The Baptizer acknowledges a baptism greater than his.
The question is this: “Should we be seeking the baptism of John the Baptizer (water) or Jesus Christ (Holy Spirit and fire)?
Another question we should ask, “Did Jesus baptize anyone with water?

No one of importance. A disciple (student) of Christ apart from the established religious systems who reasons, thinks and concludes matters for myself. Something is not right with the state of religion in the world. The real dichotomy is that we live in a world so full of religion, yet is an evil, immoral, and dangerous place to live. A mental and spiritual separation from this world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of is the first step to a “break-through” to freedom and entry into a much larger spiritual world where God and Christ resides and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God can be accessed.
